'ice' fishing

there hasnt been much for ice this year, but kids will love this 'ice' fishing. wooden pole with magnetic 'hook' catches six fish. now you can fish even when it's too cold, or windy outside. i have heard it's also great in the car, and a fun way to learn. (paper clip on words, numbers or letters)

to help avoid fighting extra poles and fish are also available.

$14 for pole & six fish, extra fish $1.50 & extra pole $2.

christmas gifts

now that chrsitmas is over i can share more of the gifts i made people for christmas. my sister & sis in laws got necklaces, with either their kids names or their initials. (the love was an exchange gift) i think they turned out pretty good.

i have also been into making hair flowers lately. so the baby sitter, her daughter & a baby she watches got some. they are pretty fun & fast to make. to bad my daughter doesnt like to wear hers.

i hope that everyone had a wonderful christmas, and a merry new year.

since my kids arent really old enough to run the computer very well, i think it's safe to say that i can post a christmas gift that i made for them. pillow pets! z has been bugging me one for a LONG time. but i refused to buy one, the velcro on the ones i have seen never keeps them in pet form. saw this pattern and figured i could finally give in to his request. the dark blue one is for him & the light is for p (she isnt all girl)

i have many more gifts to make and may post as i complete but just not with a name since i some of my followers are the intended recepient. if not i'll post after christmas.

darm weather kept the craft show traffic low last weekend. but thanks to all who did brave the weather. congrats to betsy theisen, she is the winner of the santa countdown. look for that in the mail. have a merry christmas everyone!

saturday, december 3, 2011 at the westside community conference center located at 3534 s 108th st, omaha (108th & grover - between center & lst). this show will run from 9 am to 4 pm. i will also be doing a giveaway at the craft show of this cute little guy. if you would like to enter via blog or facebook just leave a comment on my blog with your email (so i can contact you if you win) what your favorite thing about christmas is. mine is now making lefse with my family-carrying on a norweigan tradition. dont worry if you dont win, i do have about 3 more of these to sell. my kids love changing the numbers everyday.

soothies paci clips

i have always felt for the moms whos babies like the soothies paci's. NO ONE makes a paci clip for them. until now. by using a skinnier ribbon, you can thread it thru the holes on the paci. problem solved. this is just one of the many that i have so let me know if you need one.

and i do have regular paci clips and mam converters for mam babies. $3 for any paci clip and 50c for a mam converter. and when baby is done using paci's (or didnt take one) you can always use it for light toys to avoid the pick up game.

here is what i have been working on for the up coming craft show. stocking my supply of changing pockets. a 16"x24" flannel lined pad for you to change baby on, with a pouch for 3-4 diapers & wipes attached. when you are done changing baby just fold and roll it back up. to see more pictures of the pocket unrolled look on my newborn page.

millard west fall craft show

i will be at the millard west craft show on september 24. the show runs from 9 am to 4 pm. this is a really good show with lots of vendors, a great time to getstarted on your christmas shopping. and its huge-vendors in the hall, & 2 gyms (i think i am in the 2nd one-watch for signs on how to get there) i'll have all my regular baby & toddler stuff there along with some frames & christmas ornaments. so if you will be in omaha next weekend stop by. and remember if you cant you can always call or email me with your order. i have everything on hand (except car seat covers) & can send you pictures of what i have on stock.

girls, my life is just too crazy right now to be taking any new custom orders until may 1, 2011. we will be moving in a few months to our newly built house, so i need to devote my time to packing and finishing up on that. but remember just because i am not taking any custom orders, that doenst mean that you cant still get great baby or toddler items from me. i always have stuff on hand and am more that happy to send you pictures of what i have and ship items out. check back soon, i plan on posting a few things that i have on hand that arent on the blog yet, that would make great easter basket items. (or a gift for big brother/sister when the new baby comes this spring)

changing roll

the latest in my collection. a changing roll. diaper clutches and changing pads are nice, but what is nicer than having it all in one? this is an original design. pocket on the bottom is big enough to fit a wipe case and 3-4 big diapers. the 16x24" changing pad is flannel lined, so even if you have to change a diaper on the floor, baby wont get chilled. it all folds up with an elastic closure, making it easier for you when baby is trying to squirm away from you. wipe case is included. $24

i have actually had these done for a while but p didnt want to cooperate with a picture. tonight i got her and i have to say these are pretty cute. (well she is too) available in any color you want, any size you want. i even made her a mini one, that isnt as long or full, to wear with her husker jersey on football saturdays. next weekend i'll try to get that one. fluffy full tutu's are $20 (above a size 5 add $5) and mini tutu's are $14.

Hay all. I will be in Tilden for their Prairie Days celebration. Monroe Spring Craft Show

For those of you who missed me and/or couldn't make it the other weekend to the Spring Splendor in Norfolk, I will be in Monroe Saturday April 24 for the Monroe Spring Craft show. Running from 9 am to 4 pm at the Monroe Auditorium. There is a 50c admission charge that will be donated to the Platte county Relay for Life. Infant car seat covers

These are MADE for a Nebraska winter. Snow, WIND, COLD!!! Elastic base holds the fleece base to the car seat, while the top flap folds over and is pulled tight with a triple stitched cord and so that all wind can be kept out. Baby stays cozy and warm. Head hole works from newborn to 1 year old with a 14" zipper so that you can leave the cover on to get baby in and out of car seat. I dont keep these on hand so please email me if you want one. Let's play ball

What little boy (kid for that matter) doesn't like to play ball especially football? Just the right size for little hands to throw and catch. So nice and soft kids don't even realize they got hit with a ball. (easy on your breakables too)

Kids love to fish. Mine does. He like to take ribbon and pretend fish off the couch. SO magnetic fish were born. Bright colored fish with stiff interfacing help give a little structure to the body. Sewn inside is a magnet. 12" fishing pole with about 18" rope.

Now that we have FINALLY had Christmas at mom's house I can show you what I made for my sister and her fiance. I didnt want something with glass with all the mosture in a bathroom but I wanted her to be able to change the pics as she got different ones. I really like the way they turned out and think I will do some for a baby room in pinks, purples, blues and greens. Look for those later. I am also thinking of some trinket/memory boxes. Small to sit on a dresser and some bigger to put all of babys out grown clothes that you just cant part with in.

So I actually got this Hooter Hider done before Thanksgiving for our Marvelous Moms Showcase but didnt have time to get it posted. I think it turned out pretty well. I'll have to make one for next time I have a baby. Now I just need to get sewing on the fabric I bought for more. The finished project measures about 42" long by 24" high.

Yes I am still here. For those of you that dont know me, I tend to make a lot of gifts for Christmas and this year was no exception. Now that the holiday season is over (we only had Christmas at home being snowed in since Dec 24 with 18" of snow and 10-15' drifts) I have time to show you what I have been up to.

Every year I make an ornament for my neice, nephews, sisters, brother and now the sitters kids. This year it was snowmen.

Aren't they SO cute?

I also made a special ornament for my nephews 1st Christmas.

Hopefully I have time yet today to get downstairs to work on something. I have been lazy the last few days and not crafting but I figured I deserved a break for a few days after Chrismas too.

swaddling baby

Thanks SO much B for the pic of your little guy in his blanket. My babies are past the swaddle stage, even though it lasted for a good 5 months (til I found them on their side in their crib). But I loved it SO much. They always slept SO SO well. Thru the night at 1 month (well most of the night, most of the time). I think this helps with that. They cant startle themselves awake. These are big enough to use for such a long time and if you wrap right even the squirmyist baby has a hard time getting out.

My kids LOVE their zizzles. I bet you guys are wondering where in the world I got that name? zizzle??? When I was little I sucked my thumb but ONLY if I had the satin blanket binding to rub between my fingers. Mom says that I named that blanket binding zizzle and it stuck. That is always been called at our house. Now any ribbon that makes the same feeling is a zizzle ribbon. Try it, the feeling is kinda relaxing. (at least to me)

This is a paci/toy clip. My youngest didnt take a paci so we use them to keep toys from falling on the floor
My BIG swaddle blanket and a better burp cloth. This may be biased but I think they are the BEST blankets to use since you can actually use them past the time baby is over 2 months old. The burp cloths also STAY on your shoulder

And my kids favorite??? Their Zizzle blankies. Tags, lovies, whatever you call them. My kids have a favorite ribbon that they always seem to find and play with.

I always said that I didnt have time to do facebook yet here I am creating a blog. But this is another outlet for my crafts and cards. Check back to see if I can get it all figured out.
